My Thank You Note

It's so poetic, not prosaic
the music in your archaic.
Poets on feelings go
between to and fro,
- in a versification spondaic.

Authors go for gorse grain
without abbreviation sane,
sometimes saying it twice
without the metaphors spice
- not briefly, as the poets in vain!
